Hi lovelies! Today I am sharing with you all my first Summertime OOTD! If you can't tell, I'm super excited. Okay so today's outfit is a spin on the classic bikini top and shorts. This is for the girls who don't want to get wet at the beach or the pool; you're just there to look good and have a great time.


My inspiration for this outfit came solely from me not wanting to get in the water at the beach. However, I did not want to wear the classic shorts, tank top and bikini underneath combo. I spiced it up by adding a button up skirt in place of the shorts.


As many of you know, button up skirts have been on trend this season. At first, I did not like them at all. Once I finally tried one on, I was automatically sold. The one that I am wearing in the photos was a complete steal, I got it for $3.00 at Ross in the clearance section. Let's just say its probably been my best purchase all Summer!

I paired the skirt with just a plain black tank top because I wanted the skirt to be the statement piece. Also since I was going to the beach, my top was probably going to be off anyways. I chose my "knockoff" Birkenstocks as my shoes because I hate regular flip flops.

I think this outfit is super casual while also looking like you took the time to piece it together. It would be cute to wear to pool parties, beach parties or even a bonfire. If you are a little more risqué than I am, I totally promote wearing this with a crop top or bralette. I think those would give the outfit that extra feminine flare.

The best part about this outfit is the skirt looks adorable with any swimsuit top. This will definitely be one of my go-to outfits for this Summer.
